Ordered the Golden Gate Club and it was delicious, the sauce was really refreshing. The person behind the counter was very nice and helpful, suggested some sandwiches according to your preference. The shop was small and not crowded.

I've been going to Morty's on Golden Gate in the Tender Loin for about 20 plus years on and off and I've seen it change ownership go through the pandemic and various different staff. It's a small operation and relatively efficient. They'll probably wash their hands before preparing your food too! One thing I have to say about Morty is you get a good deal ! The food is solid ! I usually enjoying the everything bagel sandwich with egg, avocado, cheese, bacon, vegetable, sometimes salmon and coffee, which they serve with fruit and it's excellent! Beware and I'll update this later! One thing you have to watch out for is to make sure that your order is correct because you might have a food allergy or something you don't want on your food and they may not pay attention to the details! So that's one thing I have noticed that I warn you about if you go there! Otherwise enjoy!

we ordered online and was a little late to pick up our food but even then our food wasn't cold or soggy. I got the Philly cheesesteak and it was so good! the sandwiches are definitely more filling than they actually look
